Hi, everybody!
As you know, I'm focusing on getting my migraines under control so I'm hanging out on the About.com migraine forum instead of here. I miss all of you, but I'm making GREAT progress!
I haven't had a migraine in 8 whole days! My last two were only three days apart so that's a big improvement. The even better news is I just made it through the first 4 days of my monthly cycle without a migraine! That hasn't happened in SIX MONTHS!! YAY!!!
I think there are 3 maybe 4 reasons. First, I'm paying much closer attention to the warning signs and at the least little iffy feeling I'm immediately taking an Aleve (WITH IMODIUM as I learned here!!) and going to bed for 20 minutes with my ice pack on the back of my neck. That has helped tremendously. (One more reason I'm thankful I'm no longer working -- that wouldn't be very easy to do in the office!!)
The other changes that are probably helping are an increase in my preventive, atenolol, cutting back on aspartame (which I should have been doing anyway for my IBS!), and the improvement in my sleep disorder from my doc prescribing Xanax at bedtime (in addition to all the other things I already take).
So just wanted to let you all know how I'm doing and that I miss you. Hope you are all doing well, or as well as can be expected given what we all have to deal with!
SMOOCHES!!

Hi LauraSue! Well, except for the little pang of jealousy over your new internet boards (just kidding!) I am so happy for you! Sounds like you are really getting a good handle of things, you must feel so much relief! I imagine the less you have them, and the more relaxed that makes you, that'll help in the long run as well? What you said about being glad you're not working made me laugh because I am at work right now and just imagined getting up, putting an ice pack on my neck and lying down in the middle of the office floor. LOL. My office is empty and I'm very bored, so my mind wanders! Anyway, I hope you continue on your no-migraine streak and everything else is going well for you! Nice to hear from you! *hugs* Steph

I'm so glad you're doing better!! I was worried about you and wondering when we'd hear from you again. Are you sticking around this time?? Or taking it easy still?
