Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hi! I have never posted here, although I have gained great benefit from Heather's dietary recommendations. I actually think she "saved" me from a serious bout of IBS by recommending soluable fibers at a time when my personal physician was just yawning and telling me to eat fiber and go away (while I was in great pain!!).

Anyway, the radio airwaves are full of ads for Digestive Advantage IBS. FOr anyone with IBS, any such commercial always seems like a ray of hope for a normal life all wrapped up in one little pill. So I bought some today since I didn't see how it could harm me, being Lactobacillus cultures and amino acids to create enzymes to aid digestion.

However, I am wondering if there is any experiences with this new over-the-counter aid. I did an internet search and just came up with websites selling this product, no personal exposes or insider information from those with IBS.

Anyone try this? I couldn't find any warnings on the internet, as you often find on TV commercials for drugs where they say that in rare cases people bleed to death or become psychotic and jump off cliffs!
