I've been feeling really run down and want to improve on nutrition, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day with my IBS diet. Any suggestions?

The usual recommendations for this are to get "hidden" fruits and veggies when you are starting out, have fruit blended into smoothies or veggies blended into soups.
I usually have a couple of bananas during the day, a small glass of juice after a lot of soluble fibre and carrots/mushrooms/peas with lunch and/or dinner or a tomato based sauce with pasta.

Cailin's got some great ideas - Heather's breads are another good source of safe fruit and veggies.
Remember that some vegetables are actually high in soluble fibre. Check out the list here .

Thank you so much, Linz for for that reminder list of soluble foods. I will keep it taped on my frig.

If it helps, we learned in my nutrition class that the 5 a day should be over a few days....so if you do not get all in in one day, it is okay! I usually aim for 3 depending on how I feel....usually 2 vegies and one fruit.
