OMG! My son & hubby were out in the garage changing the oil and I was in the kitchen and I heard hubby say something that sounded like "rat". SO, of course I went running out to see what it was all about, because the word "rat" brings ugly thoughts to my head.
Son had found a "dead rat" in the garage and somehow managed to get it into the garbage can. PHEW! Did it stink. I told hubby that we just couldn't leave it in the garbage like that because they don't pick it up until Saturday. So he said go get a garbage bag and we'll put it in there.....Mind you, I have not looked in the garbage can to see this "rat". Hubby wanted me to hold the bag while he dumped it "rat" into the bag. I started over there and half way there threw down the bag and said I couldn't do it and ran into the house. I'm such a baby. Anyway after making fun of me, hubby got it into the bag and tied it up. My hero!
WHEW! Glad that's over. Too much excitement for this "Old Broad".

Hey Sis,
Check out the 5th paragraph of my post: web page
I don't blame you for being grossed out. Rats! OMG! Any idea what killed it? You have a cat, perhaps? (If so, the cat deserves a LOT of praise -- especially since it didn't bring the rat to you in person to show you the kill, as so many cats so....)

Oh Barbie, you poor thing! I know how you feel. Many moons ago when we lived across town and our youngest was a little toddler; he came and got me and said there was a "squell" (squirrel) out the window.
He was adamant about me looking at it, so I did. Turns out it was no squirrel; it was a rat. I'd never seen one before and it totally freaked me out. I just couldn't handle it at all. I'm so scared of those kind of things. Well, my husband set one of those huge rat traps and he caught the darned thing within a couple of days. That house was just never the same for me and I was so glad to move out of it. Terri

Hi Sis,
Well, the dead "rat" is out for the garbage people tomorrow. Thank goodness I'm rid of "it".
There are several cats in our neighborhood and now that you reminded me of that I bet one of THEM brought it in my garage. I'm sure they thought it was a really neat present for me.
EW! EEEEEEK! YUK! No more presents, please.
AND, YES, I am keeping the toilet lid closed.
