When I was working, it was Coach bags. I used to slobber all over myself when the new mail order catalogue came out. I'd call the manager of the Coach outlet in the next town and tell her which new models I wanted; she'd put them on hold for me 'till I could get in. I'd make an outlet run with my girlfriend and buy 3 or 4 bags at a time. It was a sickness.

Now that I'm retired -- and broke -- no more Coach bags for me. Now I luxuriate with a bottle of Oscar de la Renta body bath. At $40 a bottle, it's pretty luxurious for an old retired fart like me. A bottle lasts me about 3 months.

With the new house, I've had to resort to plain old Zest bar soap. However, now that we've sold the condo, I think I might have to make a trip to Macy's toiletries department and just pray there's no Coach outlet within a 100 mile radius.....

Yes, I watch All My Children on my lunch hour too. I'm fortunate enough that I only work 6 minutes from my home so I come home for lunch and watch it. Now the pathetic part of it is my co-worker and I listen to our channel 6 on the radio and we then can listen to One Life to Live, and General Hospital. Now, on the rare occasion when I am sick or stay home with a sick child, I sit my butt in front of the TV from 9am to 4pm and watch ALL daytime shows. It's an addiction. I guess that's why I say I could never stay home. I'd do that every day and that would not be good

I know what you mean though by thinking you feel like you know them. I litterly talk to the one character, Ryan Lavery on All My Children, and tell him how much of a hottie he is and when he's sad that I'll console him! I'm bad.

Laura Sue, they are gorgeous aren't they! Very expensive for a basket. They do go up in value, however, you have to have someone that would want to pay top dollar for an older basket that's worth something. I try to justify with my husband, "but honey, they will be worth money someday". They are a REAL addiction. I was totally bad buying them for years and have finally stopped. I have one show a year and get a lot of free stuff from having a show(demonstration). The Christmas baskets are always nice.
You should treat yourself someday to one but watch out...they are addicting!

Hi Lisa,

My mom watches the ones you do. I'm fortunate, too, that my co-worker lives close to work. I work part time so the days I work we pick up some lunch an head to her house to watch our "shows". We are always speculating on what will happen or what should happen and think we should have been writers for the shows. ha ha It's really fun to have someone to share it with.

On my way to work & "Soaps".

Later
