Hi all,

So things obviously haven't been fantastic, but I am trying to stay positive. My last day of work was on Tuesday, so I am officially unemployed. I have been applying to lots of jobs, but I haven't heard anything yet.
I called my temp agency and they said they didn't have much at the moment but "that's not to say we won't get loads in for Monday" (Well, that's not to say that you will either!).

In other news, we got a dog!! There is a dog that needs a home and we went and met him and Adrian fell in love with him and I think he's pretty cute, so we have been going to walk him every day and he will come home with us on the weekend. His name is Ranger, he is a 2.5 year old chocolate labrador. I will take some pictures and put them up once we get him home.

Things with my mom have been bad. Enough said.

I went to see my new counsellor today, and I am so glad I did. She was so nice, and so attentive, and she kept saying how well I was doing considering and how she will try and help get me back on track and she really seems sincere. I am so glad to went to see her, I feel like I have someone in my corner now.. even if she is paid to be there!!

We went to look at apartments, but then Adrian decided that it's just not practical for us to move out. The place I wrote about that we went to look at was tiny, the paint was peeling off some places and she said we weren't allowed to repaint! The kitchen and bathroom were tiny and not very well maintained. It was pretty disappointing. I guess we are just stuck here for a while, which is a nightmare because soon my mom will be at home every day, all day as she works in a school and it will be summer soon, oy!

I think that's it, really. My stomach has been bad, it is not reacting well to the stress. Much D and cramping, lots of nausea, very bad reflux. Am going to see GI doc on Thursday.

Thanks for asking, I really appreciate it! Talk to you all soon!

Stephie, I'm sorry things are still bad, but you are making some progress it seems...like talking to a counselor! Good for you and I hope you get a lot out of it, especially at this time in your life when you really need it.
The dog sounds adorable (and I love the name), and what's wrong with spreading a little more love in this world! That's a positive thing too.

I'm sending you good vibes this weekend that you can have some fun and that when Monday comes, the temp agency rings your phone off the hook!!

Ginger

Stephie - glad things went well with the counsellor. The dog is a good thing too. I think it will especially be good for Adrian. Pets do amazing things for people. It might just boost his mood. I know everything's going to work out for you - I just know it! Hopefully you will get a new job soon and you can move out. You need to get away from your mother ASAP! Till then, avoid her as much as possible.
Hugs, Alicia.

I'm so glad you like your new counselor. That's terrific! And a new dog to love. That's exciting! I can't wait to see the pictures of him.

Only one more week until Seattle! Then be prepared to be laughing the whole weekend. I've been told that I can be quite crazy at times..

(I'm sure Shell can vouch for me on that...)

Steph,

Congrats on the new dog! I can't wait to see the pictures. All the walking will be good for you to let go of the stress. Course it will build up the arm muscles trying to keep the lab from sniffing everything on the trip. You'll be all toned from

I am still thinking good thoughts for you on the job front. I always hated things this time of year when I was working at a temp agency since things are usually slow until July 1st because so many places use June 30 as the end of their fiscal year. Something great will come along for you.

*hugs*
