I got bored at work last night and started reading an issue of Family Circle. It had a formula to use to determine how many calories a person should have per day if they are watching their weight. I thought it was helpful, so I wanted to share: take your ideal weight and multiply by 13 (if your level of activity is low to moderate) or multiply by 18 (if your level of activity is extremely high). For example, I would like to be 125 pounds x 13 = 1625 calories/day.

just thought you might be interested.......people are always asking how to calculate calorie intake for wanting to lose/gain weight etc....so I thought I'd post it again...it's a proper formula method...which is how most people on here seem to have lost/gained weight by following...seems more complicated than the one you posted...but it's probably more accurate....thought I'd link it anyways....

Sorry...didn't mean to post inaccurate info. It was just something fun to figure out. I tried the other formula several times and couldn't get the numbers to come out right

hope you didn't think I was being a busy body...I didn't know you'd used that one before and thought it might be more helpful....I feel bad now...I didn't mean it to come across as though what you posted wasn't helpful...trust me and my big gob to get me in trouble!!
Sorry it hasn't helped you before...I struggle with it too....why does it have to be so hard to lose weight??

Don't be sorry. I didn't think you were being a busy body. I'm just really bad with math and I thought the simplified version was easier. No biggie
