I learned an interesting fact today. Gyms use mirrors in their weight-training areas that purposely make you look wider in order to encourage body-builders. So if you're checking yourself out in a gym mirror, remember you are thinner!

A guy I know does bodybuilding, and I asked him the other day. I noticed something was weird with the mirrors when you stand half in one, half in another. But even when you stand fully in one, it looks a bit off. He said the mirrors increase your width a tiny bit, and the further you stand from them, the more pronounced it is.
I then went into the aerobics room right beside the weights area, and I looked about 6 feet tall in it. How strange.
I guess I'm just going based on what he said, and my own perception of what I saw. In reality though, most mirrors don't show your true reflection: http://www.truemirror.com/press/html%5Ctmc_allure.0295.asp
Either way, I think we shouldn't be looking in mirrors unless we want to check out a cute guy without making it too obvious!
Have a good workout everyone, Kat
