Yay, down 2 pounds!!! I did 2 miles on the elliptical this am and 20 minutes of stretching. I also went to puppy class last night and ran around a lot! For breakfast I had one egg on oatnut toast and half a glass of juice to wash down the pills! For lunch I have a pasta lean cuisine frozen "nuke able" and will is making meatloaf for dinner with steamed green beans. I brought a 100calorie snack pack of graham crackers for lunch. I was going to make a fruit cocktail for snack but I'm running D right now because of the antibiotics so thought the graham crackers would be easier on tummy!

in the mood to report today. i've been focusing on getting plenty of fruits & vegetables lately (and on eating cheaply!), and not binging, really, as kate would say, honoring my body and what it wants, and doesn't want. but i feel like seeing what today looked like...

bagel w/ tofu cream cheese

reduced-fat peanut butter & banana on sourdough

pasta w/ tomato vegetable sauce (newman's sockarooni sauce)
1 clementine

fake bologna (smart deli) & spinach on sourdough w/ reduced fat mayo
1 clementine

may have a snack when i get home from the theatre tonight. (it'll be around 11, but since i'm eating dinner so early, i'll probably be hungry.)

about 2L of water so far (it's 6:45), and i'm up to 12g/day SF from fiberchoice.

Hi! I'm the mother of an IBS sufferer (my daughter doesn't type English very well, so I've volunteered to help) who has put on weight (about 6 lbs.) in the last year, since following Heather's soluble fiber diet. Eating veggies, except carrots and squash, seems to give her gas & stomach cramps. Fruit, except for bananas and peeled apples, does the same. Any guidelines you can offer about eating for IBS and losing weight? She's plagued by constipation now, after the D stopped as a result of the change to Heather's diet. Please help!

Where in Israel do you live? I've been to Hod hasharon before at Alexander Muss High School In Israel!

Anyway...I know it hurts and makes her gassy, etc...but I find that if I don't get enough IF and food in general I end up REALLY C! Does she take a soluble fiber supplement? This also REALLY helps my C as does drinking enough water, eating small meals, getting enough of the right fats in small proprotion, and exercise when I can. Can she try having some dried apricots after a soluble fiber supplemwent and lots of water? These REALLY help me go!! 5 of them have 12 grams IF. It might be good for her to start with one and see how she does.

Shalom!

I eat many of them...I don't count...and I eat them throughout the day.

a nutritionist I went to years ago recommended eating 12 first thing in the am to get me moving and drinking tons of water and exercising. I ALWAYS had a BM the mornings I did this!!

Let me know if you try it
