B: the usual
snacks and lunch: even though it was a nonwork day I ate my usual lunch-2 bananas, luna bar, PB&J, carrots, couple pretzels
D: marlin with mango salsa, rice and brocoli
DE: soy delicious
Exercise: did 1 round weights etc (usually do 3), still worried about my hip and couldn't do any actual Roman chair exercises, did 20 min treadmill (staying away from bike for now)
Liquid: I have been so thirsty in getting back to normal after the bad weekend. I drank tons and pooped 3 times! My body seems to be able to right itself now by instinct. Stomach isn't flat though and I feel chubby. I am thinking about some community fitness classes starting next week. Can't decide on ball, all abs or all arms. Can't really do all 3.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

meow. sorry, i'm on a kind of barf diet--obviously eating intuitively and in 'rebel' mode. it's working though. i must reduce my carbs, though. they are destroying my eternal calm.

here's what i consumed, today:

--1 c. egg whites
--4 oz. tuna
protein: 110g/57% (way to go kate!!!)

cooked veggies:
--'faux-tatoes' (cauliflower)
--spinach/dill puree
--cremini mushrooms
--celery
--red and vidalia onion

raw greens:
--baby spinach
--romaine
--spring mix

other veggies:
--english cuke
--green onion tops
--chives
--a few cloves of garlic

reflections:

new goal: to further reduce carbs. they ruin my mood. mostly, i look at them as nature's breath fresheners. i will buy less food next week. i eat too much. okay, it's less than a thousand calories, but it just feels/looks like i eat too much. i take up too much space in this world.

kate.

No exercise today in place of reading philosophers all morning... there could be worse things Anyway...

9am (slept in )
Bowl of oatmeal w/walnuts

12pm
Bowl of rice with spinach puree and lots of white kidney beans

2pm
Zucchini and hummus sandwich, a few green beans, a banana

5pm
Slice of banana bread

7:30pm
Bowl of (pureed) vegetable-bean soup, big hunk of bread, ripped up and toasted as croutons, then too many canned pears which my stomach didn't really appreciate

*big lazy nap *

11pm
Another bowl of oatmeal w/walnuts

So... basically the same day as yesterday almost lol
Water? Not great, only about 8 cups. Good on the fruits and veggies front today though.

laurel, i spent all day at work reading stumptuous.com. what an awesome site. i am definitely going to integrate lots of weight stuff into my work-outs... once i'm able to start going more than once a week. arg.

in terms of food, we'll see a reminder today of what can go awry. 2 cookies so quickly turned to 4. i do much better when food is for nutrition and satisfying hunger, rather than satisfying taste-cravings.

mini bagel
2 egg whites
banana

kashi oatmeal
1/4 c soy milk

1 c rice
3 oz mushrooms
1/2 box tofu

4 mint newman-o's (i just shouldn't buy these things)
1 1/2 c soy milk

1 pita

1 luna bar

1475. about 4 liters water & tea, which is my usual. walked to work, which is 1 2/3 miles, and from work to the theatre i went to tonight, which was another mile. still only 65g protein (17%). i think i'm going to have to get some of that protein powder. good thing i work across the street from whole foods.

recently been really stressed/depressed and so doing anything was pretty much out of the question as i had no time i was working mostly and the few hours a day i had to myself i had to sleep. most of my personal stuff piled up and i felt like i got nothing accomplished this week. and plus my computer lost its internet connection for about 1.5 weeks so i couldnt post. ill be better though---

-organic slim bran cereal w/FF vanilla soy
-mint magic tea w/acacia
-dairy-free organic vanilla soyogurt
-handful/puffed organic kamut
-grapes -- big gas trigger

DBF [darling boyfriend ] took me out to dinner as a treat for my stressful week!! *so happy!*
-1 vegan eggroll
-ocean-seaweed tofu-young patty [half of 1 patty, then half later on]
-mini-scoop/dairy-free orange-lavender ice cream

*AND THEN MUNCHIES*
-1 vegan brownie
-1 vegan ice cream sandwich
-few chips/organic hummus
-organic vanilla baby cookies [tons/B-VITS!!]

WAAAAY too much as i have a huge belly now but it was the most id eaten in a little bit. feeling a little better now. more balanced.

Kitty-Kate! I respectfully, completely, 100% disagree with you! You do not take up too much space in the world. In fact, the world needs more people like you--colorful, creative, rebellious. Go on! Take over the world with your rare and beautiful energy.

I'm emailing you RIGHT NOW.
