I've been apprehensive re: reporting due to my less conventional style of eating. However, I'm still eating obscenely healthfully.

My primary source of sf is derived from plant sources. This week features an obscene quantity of assorted mushrooms (great protein, too, which I seem to be craving fiercely!)

Here's yesterday's menu:

--Gatorade--3 c.
--Broth--4 c.
--CARROTS and cauliflower (curry)
--ASSORTED MUSHROOMS and broccoli
--yellow beans for dessert
--cranberry/apple juice

Kate, IBS-D.

please don't stop posting bc. of what people might think. the healthfulness of what you put in your body is undeniable, and the times you've talked about your diet and choices, your conviction has been really reassuring to me.

(having accidentally set up that little firestorm about your diet before, i feel a little weird saying this, but i also feel like i owe it to you.)

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Hey, we all have our own goals, ideas, etc... just start out your posts with some kind of disclaimer...in your funny way so that the new people who are trying to eat strikly Heather's diet don't get confussed... yeah, i handle it ok. cottage cheese better than doritos, oddly enough. my ibs is on the mild side, i'm learning, and since i'm lactose intolerant i take a lactase supplement daily, mostly for insurance. cottage cheese has always been easier on me than ice cream or pizza - if i don't have too much, or too often, i'm basically fine.

and yes, the portobello wrap was heavenly.

Hi all,

Was really sick so I didn't get to the gym, and all I ate in the day was rice, applesauce and some vanilla biscuits. Not enough to really do a report on. Blah.
