IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Hi all! Here goes for today...

Activities:
20 minutes elliptical, 15 minutes sit-ups. Then later on, took my dog out for a walk for about 40 minutes = 215 calories burned

Breakfast: Orange Bliss Luna Bar and unsweetened applesauce cup = 220 calories

Lunch: 3 slices of French bread (they didn't have much 'surface area' thus the three, hee hee) with some canned tuna, Ultra Low Fat mayo = 671 calories - YIKES! I wasn't sure of the calories in the bread, but my little program puts the three peices at 525 calories, yowza!

Snack: Diced peaches and herbal tea with 1/2 tsp of vanilla flavouring = 75 calories

Snack: 2 small pieces of chocolate = 56 calories

Dinner: Had some 'sticky spicy chicken' at a restaurant (it was an appetizer and two of us shared it) and one potato skin that I had off someone else's plate = ?? 350 calories, maybe.

Snack: Another cup of tea w/vanilla = 25 calories

For a total of.. 1397 calories. I thought it would be WAY higher than that, but I still didn't eat as healthily as I should. Still within my food allowance, though especially 'cause of the exercising.

I definitely had enough water today, too. Yay.

Cheers!

one of those downhill days. i know i shouldn't eat late at night, but if i could set that rule into practice, then i'd have the self-control to eat at night without mayhem. i did start out the day really hungry, which didn't set a good pace, but still.

luna bar

banana
peach
1 T reduced-fat peanut butter

1 c apple cinnamon cheerios
1/2 c soy milk

1/2 portabella & veggie wrap (w/ some sort of rich dressing)
homemade rice krispie brick

mini bagel

baked doritos

3 pierogies w/ 1 t margarine
1/4 c chocolate sorbet

oy. 1830, with lots of guessing. but still. boo. i went to the gym late (9:30), so i didn't really eat dinner beforehand, and came home hungry and tired, which is a bad bad combination for me. but at the gym...

30 min elliptical, 30 min walking, 15 push-ups, 40 sit-ups.
