I am new to this board and I am hoping someone else can help who has a similar issue. I have had a mild case of crohn's for about 35 yrs., with one surgery 25 yrs ago. I changed lifestyle, got therapy, improved diet after surgery and did well. But a year ago, bc of scar tissue from the surgery 25 yrs ago, there was a very narrow 7" area that began causing obstructions. In addition, my gall bladder was full of gall stones. Surgery was done last May to remove gall bladder as well as the narrow section of illeum.Since that time, I have morning d problems and cannot gain weight. It seems that I cannot digest fat with the gall bladder gone and being anatomically compromised already w/ the crohn's surgery. I am trying enzymes, lypotropic substances, even bought ox bile which I have not had the courage to try yet. I eat some macrobiotic, mostly veggie, very healthy and according to Heather's book. In the year since the dual surgery I cannot gain any weight and do avoid fat bc I have more problems in the am if I eat fat the day before. Can anyone relate?

Hi cp, and welcome. You've posted your question on the fitness thread, which is mostly about staying in shape with IBS. You are much more likely to find some help if you post it over on the "Crohn's and Colitis" board." Just click on that tab up at the top of the screen and post over there. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
