I am uncertain to where this post belongs, but I would be greatful for ANY help at all.
I am a 17 year old student in california, and I was wondering if anyone has had both IBS and an anxiety disorder. I started having panic attacks 2 years ago and have not had a peaceful day since. For a while...it has been better...but recently I've developed all sorts of stomach problems that I thought might be IBS. Sudden attacks of nasuea, pain beneath my ribs and in my stomach...a weird sort of dehabilitating discomfort that I can't describe very well; all i know is it causes me to double over for quite a while.
All of these symptoms cause more panic...which may be causing more symptoms. I am unable to live like this. Any similar experiances?

Alot of people with IBS also have anxiety....not surprisingly!
You NEED to get properly diagnosed with IBS (it cannot be self-diagnosed) and while you're at your doc's tal;k about the anxiety. SOme meds can be very helpful. Or the hypno program will help both sides of the problem!
Good luck.

Oh yeah, IBS is closely linked with anxiety/stress. Have you tried doing a search on this? I'm sure you'd find lots.
I'd second everything that Linz said and just add that you might want to try re-posting this in the Diet forum, as you'll probably get more responses. Good luck!
