My trainer at the gym is suggesting that I go on it. You can select food from each group (carbs, protein, fat) from a huge list, then they send it off to their nutrition specialist who makes you a 28 day meal plan of 5 meals a day based on your specific dietary requirements, but keeping to "the zone" plan.
I am doing a circuit now which is called the zone circuit so apparently they work well together... I am looking into it right now on the net, just need to make sure it will be okay for my tummy.

I replied to this in your other "reporting in" post... but just note that you'll probably need to bring the fat level of this diet down quite a bit (from 30%), so make sure your nutritionist/meal planner knows your speicific dietary needs and what you can and can't have!

Hi Stephie, I've been considering using the Zone diet, and trying to adapt it based on my IBS needs, and there are quite a few websites out there. One is called Formula Zone, and I know you can specify things like...vegan/vegetarian, Kosher, no dairy, no beef, etc...might want to check it out!

I went to that Formula Zone site, put in what I can't eat and voila - it makes menus for you! How amazing! I am excited now! Thanks so much for the tip! --Steph

I agree with Retrograde re: Zone/fat levels. For me, when I did it for fun, with my Mum, I HAD to decrease the fat for IBS safety reasons. It's too high and triggering.
Re: fat. Without adding any fat, I only consume and average of 12g/day. This is only fat that exists naturally within the food itself.

Stephie, how did you do that? I went to the website but I couldn't figure out how to do anything without joining. Did you join? I really didn't want to do that until I could see an example of what they were going to suggest. Thanks, Cindy
