My goal for the week ...

60 minutes of cardio a day and weights every day. It's a lot, I know, but I've got to get my butt in gear. I'm trying to boost my metabolism since it's so low with all the meds I take. I will most likely break up the cardio into two 30 minute segments.

Good luck with it Alicia. Make sure you warm up and warm down and don't overdo it! We are rooting for you

Thanks. My 30 minute cardio has a warm up and cool down so don't worry. I'll go easy. It's a goal - not a life sentence. Just something to shoot for.

That does sound like a hard goal - but I'm sure you can do it! I think breaking up the 60 minutes is probably a good idea.. It might even be more helpful that way for boosting your metabolism (I'm not sure, that's just a guess!). I am in the same boat, I need to up my metabolism but have been so lazy lately.. I am hoping I'll get into a better routine once school is over and I have the same hours of work every day. If you can pull off an hour of cardio AND weights every day, you'll be doing really REALLY well. Good luck!!! --Steph

I think that's great!
I find that doing something everyday for a while helps me think of it as "normal routine" instead of something I'm adding to my schedual.
Good luck! --Myra

That's great Alicia!
Just make sure you're not going too hard with the weights - or take a day off in between. Remember that muscle grows while you're resting not working out, so you need to give those muscles a rest if you're going hard with it (i.e. if your muscles sore the next day, take a day off - much better for your body - overtraining can slow that silly metabolism)
Good luck!!!
