OOOhhhhhh.........my Triceps HURT today!! It's a good thing... lucky for me it is Kickboxing tonight and not Power Sculpt where I'm required to do 4 sets of 20 push ups.... I'd be in BIG trouble and the whole class would suffer....hehehe (that class is kind of military style ) But, I love it!!

Hello- remember me? I went to my parents' for the weekend and to a black tie event with my sister on Friday. There's a very slow dialup connection at home so I didn't report in and didn't put my calories on fitday...Last week was a bit of disaster food wise, I did a lot of comfort eating.
At the weekend I cheated a bit but went for a very long walk (4 miles)up and down hills and across fields with my Mam on both Saturday and Sunday.
Breakfast: Rice Krispies and Choc Soy Milk Snack: Luna Bar Lunch: Tuna, Coleslaw and corn sandwich on brown bread Dinner: I had the girls over and I made baked chicken with plums, ginger and soy with thyme potatoes and green salad Dessert: ADB with tablespoon of cream *UFO alert* and berries Snack: cup mini marshmallows, glass of apple & raspberry drink Exercise: short walk at lunchtime
I'm not calculating my calories today (lazy)but reckon I have eaten less than I burned but am not in the weight loss zone.
I weighed in this morning and remarkably have not gained any weight this week!
So I am still three pounds down, two to go, with a goal date of 30th April.(realistically 23rd April for comfort)I hope to lose another pound this week, I am going on a hen weekend so I will have a lot of drink calories on Saturday but I intend to go to the gym tomorrow and Thursday, possibly Friday too. I might even go Sunday. Aim is three times this week.
I am going to spin class tomorrow night so will definitely be back on track and all the Easter chocolate is gone from work. One of the girls who was here tonight has lost 10 lbs on WW- she looks fantastic and she will be my motivation to keep this up!
PLEASE GET ON MY CASE IF I DON'T REPORT OR HAVE MORE THAN ONE SWEET TREAT (WITHOUT GOOD EXCUSE) PER DAY!

B: 3 oatmeal and raisins 525 work day ate all day: 2 bananas, luna, PB&J, 1 lemon bar, pretzels, 1/2 piece cardamom cake, 1 gatorade D: Cambodian chicken curry rice and cauliflower. I ate very little chicken curry and a lot of cauliflower. Water: I drank 80 oz in 8 hours! It was hot and dry and sunny today and I have a headache. The dogs were crazy today too. Had to spray 2 dogs. Besides the 80 oz at work I drank probably another 40 at home today. And yes I had to pee every 10 minutes but only did so every hour or so. Exercise: worked a full day with lots of walking and did some stuff when I got home from work. Sleepy! Total cals are way too high but I had to eat to keep working. 2100 or so.

Hi everyone - new week!
Well last week my weight was up 0.7 pounds. This week I am down 1.3 pounds. So my total loss so far is only 0.6 pounds. Sigh, at least I did not gain again.

Woke up in more pain than I have *ever* been in. Serious "the world is ending" abdominal pain, spasms, and bloat. Did haul myself out of bed, and made it on time. (Barely, but that's a miracle!)
6am: Banana Bread Oatmeal
11am: Pretzel Sticks
12noon: Applesauce with banana
2pm: Pretzel Sticks
4pm: Made Heather's Snack mix, ate about 3 rice chex, 1 corn chex, and a mini pretzel in the process
6pm: 5 Twizzlers
7pm: Tuna, Mayo, and Scrambled Egg Wrap One cooked baby carrot Obligatory piece of broken chocolate Easter bunny
9pm: 2RKT
Total was low again today. I was trying for 1200 today, but I only got to about 950 calories . But...I have a new plan for tomorrow, and new resolve. I just hope it starts out more pleasantly...
Water 128 oz --even though I was forbid to make any more tea part way through the evening!! (And yes, Shell, I do have to pee, all the time. Although, currently, I have D enough, that I can just pee while I am already there to 'take care of bussiness"....LOL)

Tamara, sorry your so tired and had such a day of dogs. I have been very naughty with keeping on track lately so I can fully sympathise.
The link to the cambodian chicken curry won't work for me because I am not a member of cooking light- could you post the recipe on the exchange whenever you get a chance, I love chicken curry!
thanks so much...you are heading away to Englad soon aren't you- excited>?

Yeah I always wonder if the links work so usually I post the recipe. Ok I will post at recipe exchange, but with a warning that it is thighs and has coconut milk. Even I was okay with it though (am sensitive to fat.) We leave next Thursday. I am trying to get used to GMT by getting up and going to bed very early. I was in bed last night by 8:30 and up at 6 (even though I am off today.) Gonna go garden if it doesn't rain. Yea!

Hello all! We are having such nice spring weather here that it puts me in a good mood even though I am stuck inside and can't even see a window from where I sit! Yesterday was a pretty good day, I still feel like I eat constantly - hope this method is really upping my metabolism like it is supposed to. Guess we'll find out tomorrow when I jump on the scale . . .
Monday: Breakfast - oatmeal w/soy milk and dried apricots, OJ w/fiber, mint tea (433) Snack - apple, UFO beverage (238) Lunch - UFO sandwich (342) Snack - UFO (dairy) (140) Dinner - Boca burger on toasted sourdough w/swiss soy cheese & spicey mustard, strawberries, steamed asparagus (301) Dessert - Easter UFO, animal crackers (354)
Excercise - 20 min on elliptical, 10 min walking. A few crunches. Burned about 300 cals, according to the machines. I felt bad that I was excercising indoors on such a nice day! But I still don't want to rush back to running until my foot is better. I think I will try a very short, easy run on the treadmill today after work and hope that it will be lower impact than running outside.
Water - maybe 60ish oz - if you couldn't already tell, this is the hardest part for me to remember!!
Total food calories: 1712. Just about right I'd say. Maybe I can add some more calories once I get running again and can burn them off!
Three cheers for me for resisting the cookies, cakes, and donuts while grocery shopping last night!!!

Casey, that maple applesauce sounds scrumptious! What kind is it? You know I need some variety in my oatmeal toppings!
BTW, have you ever tried mangosauce or any of those other kinds at Trader Joes? My mom and I though they sounded good but could be too sweet.

The maple applesauce is heavenly, and it's homemade - I posted the recipe on the Recipes board a couple days ago. It's really simple to make, but even if it wasn't, it would totally be worth the effort.
I don't have Trader Joe's or anything similar at all up here. But if it's anything like the fruit babyfoods I treat myself to sometimes, it would be good! If you're concerned about it being too sweet, try making your own - it wouldn't be hard at all, just cook the fruit on the stove with a few tablespoons of water, and eventually it will break down into sauce.

I'm not entirely sure. Dinner seemed pretty safe (sweet potato) and in the evening I had a soft pretzel (at home, the ingredients were safe). Lunch that day was late, and at a restruant, so that's more likely. I tried to be as safe as a could, had pasta with marinara, bourbon chicken and rice, and a plain baked potato. The pasta might have had oil/ butter, and I don't know about the chicken sauce. So I think that's the most likely trigger (or triggers). I just need to be a bit more proactive at restaurants, I suppose...

I did post it this morning so look when you can. We had so much leftover and ate so much yesterday- very economical. Thighs cost me $5 (not much at all!) at Sam's club for 12-13 thighs and that is 2 meals and 2 nights with leftovers- so 4 meals for $5! So I eat thighs from time to time with discretion. Anyway, pretty ready. I still haven't gotten pounds. Have to pay $2 per pound! I packed my suitcase today to see how everything will fit and I am making a final draft packing list too. But I will feel better when eveyrthing is done. Last time we flew all night and I never slept 1 minute and then we were up all day and crashed at about 7:30. So that got us right in the time change. But on the way home... Did you get bad jet lag on your trip?

I found the recipe now, thanks, can't wait to try it! Lets see- flying to the US we left home at 8a, Dublin airport at 11 and Heathrow at about 3 in the afternoon I think. We got to Chicago late at night, into our hotel about 11 so we just went to bed and it worked out fine.
Coming home we left JFK at 6pm, got to London at 6am and then had to wait around for the flight to Dublin so it was 11 am before we got home. I went to bed in the afternoon for a couple of hours and then got up and proceeded as normal. Went to work the next day and was tired but not too jetlagged. I did sleep on the plane home- I bought a gel sleeping mask in Boots and wore the headphones with the classical music channel and slept for about three hours. The killer for us is always the 2 1/2 hour wait for the connecting flight home. I'm sure you will do just fine! I am very jealous that you are off on your big trip- will miss you when you are away though

That sound like it works out better for you. That's too bad you can't go direct. I know lately the radio station here was giving trips to Dublin to see U2 and it went from Chicago to Dublin. We hate connecting flights b/c it makes DH so crazy and stressed. you should see him! We connected from Edinburgh to Amsterdam last time and had to go from gate A to like gate I to get the plane. That airport is huge!!! I am hoping this time I will sleep a little at night on the plane. Last time I was so excited. I will miss everyone here too while I am gone!

Aer Lingus fly direct but there's never a lot of availability and our itinerary was Dublin-London-Chicago-San Fran *surface to Las Vegas-New York-London-Dublin. I am tired just typing that! P got the deals on the internal flights by booking the transatlantic with American Airlines...
U2 tickets are like gold dust over here! We are hoping we get to see them on our honeymoon somewhere. We went to Slane Castle on their last tour (a friend got tickets through work) and I honestly don't believe that concert could ever be topped, it was pure amazing! Padhraig saw them in Giants Stadium when he lived in NY too..
Get yourself in a sleeping mood and you will be fine, the eye mask and classical music did it for me..
