How many times a week should I do ab exercises? I do weight-training 3 times a week and aerobics on all my days off but one a week. (that is since I walk for work. So this week work Monday, ex Tues, work Wed, ex Thurs, work 2 hours Friday is rest day, ex Sat and Sun). Anyway sometimes I do my stomach and back crunches probably 6 times a week, although I never count. I use an exercise ball. I had neck problems in the past as I was doing about 600 crunches a day- reason being that Britney Spears did 1000. PT said that was too many and I had to lay off to not hurt my neck. Now I do 30 regular and 30 side to side and upping it very gradually. The exercise ball makes them really count! Anyway does anyone know the recommended times per week?

No advice...I just wanted to say WOWEE...No wonder you're so trim!
I think I'm doing well if I get 10 crunches done (in my defense I have slight scoliosis that has lengthened my ab muscles so much that I CAN'T do a sit-up, only baby crunches).
But wow!

i'm not sure about the real rules.. but I have an eight minute abs video and they say to do it everyday! So maybe it depends on how much time it takes you to get all your abwork done?!?

The ab muscles can take a lot of flack - what you're doing sounds great to me! Yeah, just make sure you're going easy on the neck (which as you know can't take a lot of flack! ) That's a great routine, keep it up!
