Good thinking, but I did have that checked (I've had blood tests for just about everything) and the results came back fine. I was almost hoping something like that was the problem so I could put a name to it and move on!

They are all safe, but some of the chocolatey ones still have a lot of fat. To be safe I eat them with a banana so the percentage of fat is not too high. The toasted nuts and cranberries has the least fat and is good- tastes like a regular granola bar. My fav is peppermint stick.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Maybe suggest a higher dose of Effexor to your doc?

Also, taking vitamins, probiotics and echinacea will only help. Eating carbs is only a very short-term fix. I do it too, but eating regular protein, long-chain carbs (i.e. rice/pasta, not sugar) and vitamins will make you feel better for longer.

Do you have achey or painful joints and limbs? If so, then it might be Fibromyalgia which LauraSue, JenX and I have. IBS is one of the add-ons to Fibro. CFS I'm not sure about. But anyway, I'd talk to your doctor some more and maybe go and see a specialist (rheumatologist for Fibro).

Good luck. Being tired all the time sucks. I know.
