HI- I am still pretty new to this site so I don't know if you guys have had problems with Smart Balance? I use it and it has been ok--the good thing is that is has no Trans Fatty acids--which are worse fats than saturated fat--also has some Vit. E...just thought I would mention it and ask if anyone has tried it. thanks

Take heart, sweetie. Yes, butter buds contain real butter ingredients and are mostly artificial ..... but they're better than real butter! You may find you can handle some of it.
If you can't get butter buds (I can't get them where I live), you can try for "I can't believe it's not butter spray". I tolerate it quite well. It's also full of artificials, and buttermilk, but the key thing to think of is:

PORTION SIZE.
Very small amounts may be perfectly safe, hon, so give it a try. You may be surprised.
