Hello everyone. I am just wondering if the first few days can throw you off your good track record. I am IBS C and had a great few first days when you know what came and seemed to bring things to a standstill before starting to sort it's self out.
Is there anyway that I can prepare myself for this next month or even to I dare ask, to prevent it?
Thank you everyone for your amazing help and support!

Hi, I think most of us suffer this too. I think the only thing you can do is be extra cautious around that time. e.g. really stick carefully to the diet, SF Supplements, plenty of sleep, relaxation, avoid stress, exercise etc.

Thank you KinOz! That's what I was thinking, but just wanted to make sure. I have been putting a heating pack on at night and so far that has been doing it's job.

Peanut-
I am the same during the PMS phase right before the C is awful then generally when you start it is relieved bc _ I asked my OB-GYN, he said from when u ovulate to right before you start your progesterone level increases and stays there until u start then it drops and progesterone apparently slows down colon motility, which is horrible for us with IBS-C, he put me on Yasmin Birth Control so I won't ovulate and the progesterone won't increase, has helped somewhat.

I just wanted to thank RLU for that. It helps to know that.
