Is it okay to use reduced calorie bread? Trying to diet while on this program and I was wondering if we could use this type of bread. Thanks

More specifics might be helpful. Brand? Ingredients?

The breads I am thinking about are the reduced calories ones. i.e., sara lee delightfully bread, natures own reduced calorie bread, breads that are usually 35 to 40 calories per slice..ingredients, not too sure...

I've noticed that most Sara Lee breads and most other brands contain milk ingredients that could upset your IBS. Generally fresh white breads, such as sourdough and french, are the best and safest choices.

Is italian fresh bread different than french bread (ingredient wise)? Also, are breads like spelt and kamut okay to eat? Thanks Julie

For me, fresh italian bread and fresh french bread are both good. Just make sure that they are fresh baked, not pre-packaged.
