I am feeling horrible. This is my first posting too btw.
I woke up with my monthly friend yesterday and I have been a reck since. It's never been this bad before. I've had D for the last 3 days. It seems like nothing at all is working. My stomach is ready to explode and I can't stop running to the washroom. Oh I want this to be over

Aww... I''m sorry you feel so horrible. Have you tried taking some imodium? I know that's the only thing that'll help me some days. Right around period-time is a notoriously bad time for a lot of us, unfortunately. I'm sorry I don't know what to suggest; I usually just suffer with it, but hopefully someone else here will have some ideas for you.

Welcome, by the way!

Hello Em and welcome to the boards! I'm sooo sorry you're not feeling well. I have my "Aunt Flow" currently too, in fact I just got it yesterday as well. Lots of cramping. Try to drink some tea...peppermint, fennel and chamomile. Chamomile will relax you and calm your stomach and fennel and peppermint will help with the bloating. Also, I've heard that the peppermint caps that Heather sells is good for cramps as well as the bloating (I can't use it because I have acid reflux). A heating pad will also help both. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Hi, Emily and welcome! So sorry you're feeling bad. As Casey said, you may need to take some Imodium just to get things slowed down. Pepto Bismol or Kaopectate also work.

For food, follow the BRAT diet for a few days. That's bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Obviously, no tea or coffee right now.

Make sure you get enough liquids. It's easy to get dehydrated from constant D. Feel better and let us know how you're doing, okay?

Now that I am stable I finally figured out I AM worse at that time and this month especially so - weird. I figure it will be a good time for a mini-vacation- watching movies and being lazy. Try taking immodium ahead of time too. Hope you feel better!

I'm not sure how you do with things like advil....but I know for me it works wonders!!

As soon as I start to get that stomach pain that I know can only be from my period...I pop 2 advils and I feel almost 100% better...

too bad that didn't work the rest of the month....

In the meantime....hot water bottle, cozy blanket and a good book....I always watch "Sex and the City" re-runs!!

Feel better soon!!

Uggghhh....tell me about it. I got mine on Monday, have had the worse week with it this month. Had D every day after lunch. I usually get D a couple days before my period then I'm ok during usually BUT this month has been complete HELL!
The good side to this story, I'm going on vacation on MOnday so at least I won't have my period! Yeah!!!!!
Hang in there, it will soon pass!
