Hi Everyone,
I have been surfing this site for quite sometime and finally decided to become a member. You guys are all so supportive of each other... it's nice to be part of a community where people understand what we go through on a daily basis.
Just to tell you a little bit about myself. I have IBS-A I guess. I never really got a formal diagnosis but my sister is a PA in a GI clinic and she said I am a text book case. After surfing this site I could agree. I always thought I just got sick more than the average person. The funny thing is it always happens when I have somewhere important to go...don't you just hate that the most? The past two years have been pretty rough, I have had to miss quite a few days of work... which really upsets me- I just want to be able to make it through the year like everyother responsible employee. Well, I don't want to ramble on... just thought I would take the time to introduce myself.

HEY! Welcome to the website..
unfortunately I'M NOT a pennstate graduate.. but tons of my friends are.. I went to high school in upper st. clair. Maybe you know people from there?!?

Thanks for your response! I noticed that you spend summers in VA. Years ago, I spent a summer in Newport News Virgina. Familiar with the area? I love Virginia, it is sooo pretty. Anyway,just wanted to say hey!

Hi Cathy, just wanted to welcome you to the boards. Everybody here is soooo supportive and they have great advise and are warm and caring. I was very happy that I found this site last summer. Don't be afraid to ask any question, even ones that you may thing are stupid. NO question pertaining to IBS is stupid. It is a big change for all of us in our lifestyles and we are all here to help. Welcome Cathie,
This is a great place to be even if the reason isn't that great. Everyone is wonderful and it is so nice to be able to talk about whatever and there are people that will understand completely.
