I am IBS-C and trying to relieve bloating since I look like I am 7 months pregnant most days. I haven't tried the peppermint caps yet but was reading that the fennel relieves gas/bloat. Does anyone who takes the peppermint caps notice a difference in their bloat??? Thanks!

yes peppermint caps helped me with the bloating. I also take Citrucel with them which has helped. I am C so I need to get things moving to relieve the bloating, and I drink tons of water. I am not a fan of the tea at all, so i have to find other alternatives.

Yes I also drink over the recommended daily dose of water per day. I still look like I am pregnant! It is funny but it isn't you know? Sometimes I have to laugh at myself and other days it really affects my self esteem. I have always been small. I am 5'2 and weigh 120 currently but my belly pops out like I am pregnant. I look like a troll doll on most days. My boyfriend and I broke up one month ago and it is hard because I wonder if I will find someone else to understand why my body is shaped this way. Okay I am rambling on now..

my boyfriend and I just broke up 6 weeks ago too. My IBS is just starting to get back to normal. Breakups are not easy, try to stay positive.

Thanks for the kind words! I have been doing great until he contacted me a few days ago. But I am hanging in there! I have been through worse!

so weird how we are going through the same thing. He contacted me 2 weeks ago and we went out and had a great time, then he went "no Commitment" on me again so I cut my losses. This week has been easier. Its a hard habit to break having someone, but I have gone full force into my workouts so I don't dwell on it. Someday I will have that last phone call of the day again

That is quite bizarre because my ex is a commitment phobe BIG time! I am doing much better today than yesterday...I just decided to ignore him this time. I haven't been excercising like I should. I need to get motivated and maybe that would also help my bloat. Do you find that it helps?

exercising I think helped, it helped my self esteem which made me feel less bloated. You always feel better after you work out. I would try it. The week after we broke up I started really get back into the gym, I set up a program with a trainer and just decided to work on myself instead of worrying about what a guy wants. Its time to take care of myself, mentally and physically. The man will come in time

Thanks for the uplifting words! I think you have given me the motivation to give it a go myself. I have pilates on DVD and live right across the street from a lake where people run and walk all day long. There is really no excuse for me to sit around feeling sorry for myself. Thanks again!

I started out a "C" but it's turning into "c" for 3 or 4 days, then I have a normal BM and following some "D". This has been a vicious cycle for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I tried only eating solible fibres, but I'm ready to give up. I'm about to break up with my bf too.

Why are you ready to give up? How much soluable fiber did you take and what kind? I am definitly convinced that the emotional side hurts our tummy!! Everytime I have a sad thought I feel the ick churn and a burning ache. Thing is, I told my ex to stop contacting me so I could get over him. Then a month later he pops in to say hello. All progress out the window. I think he is being selfish since he knows of my IBS tummy aches from stress. Oh well! It is comforting to hear that I am not alone with the heartache and tummy ache.
