Hey everyone, hope ur tummy's are feelin good today:)
I know that it is important to eat insoluble fiber, but I just can't handle it. How much soluble fiber would u say u should eat befoer the insoluble?? Can u eat it with it or before? One thing I like to eat is macaroni elbows with peas in it. It doesnt usually make me terribly sick, but very incomfortable. Whats the best thing to eat with veggies like peas or squash (I love squash!!)Thanks for any help!!

Squash is soluble! Go for it. Heather's has a fantastic Butternut Squash pasta sauce recipe.

With peas, try eating some of the pasta WITHOUT peas in it first. Eating soluble fibre first makes it easier on your tummy. Also, mushy peas are a lot more tolerable!

I find if I make my insoluble fibers(any kind of berry for me) into a shake with a banana I am good to go. Salads are a big no for me, hate them anyway reminds me of being on a reduction diet! And cooking my veggies. I would say for me it has been a big experiment of what I can and can not eat of fruits and veggies.

Try eating mashable veggies first - like squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. Then try adding small amounts of insolubles into it. I love rice - it goes with any veggie.
