Has anyone's pharmacist recommended vitamins that are friendly to the belly? I can't seem to get a straight answer from my doctor or pharmacist. I feel like I need some vitamins in my diet. I used to live on veggies and fruit and while I still eat them, it's not the same and I feel like I am not getting as many nutrients. Recommendations? Thanks!

You might find that you're okay with vitamin supplements. Some people aren't, but I take a multivitamin and 500mg Vitamin C everyday without a problem. Definitely makes me feel healthier (and I get less colds).

Andrew Lessman makes vitamins they are all natural no preservatives. Most are in a gelatin capsule some are in liquid form in a capsule. He has great vitamins.
He has a warehouse in Nevada where he makes them all.
His website is www.yourvitamins.com
They may be more expensive than vitamins in the stores but they are worth it. That's where we get ours from. He has a wide variety of vitamins, protein bars, protein shakes, etc.
Hope this helps. It's worth a visit to his site.

Like Linz, I've also found that vitamins don't bother my IBS... I just get indigestion from ones that are high in iron. You might find that you're ok with them.

Hi,

I was taking Walgreen's Super Atynal vitamins and kept on having "D" and realized that it had mannitol (similar to sorbitol) in it and also 138% iron. Quit taking them and got rid of "D". Now I am taking Walgreens A thru Z Select with no iron and no mannitol. So far so good. It really pays to read the labels.

My doctor told me to try a child's vitamin because it would be easier on the stomach. I find if I take it with my dinner I'm okay.

P.S. I get them at the health food store because the regular kind have sorbitol and other things that aren't okay.

I heard and read somewhere that prenatal vitamins are really easy on the stomach, and I will probably take them forever now because I've been on them for many months with no problems! I have also heard that children's vitamins are good too if you have problems with other ones!
