I am still going to do some more reading on this as it seems to be such a huge part of the IBS world. I know I'm in for a lifetime of watching my diet and especially as it relates to my tummy. Right now, I am able to eat a wide variety of things, so soy is not that vital to me personally. I think I will look elsewhere for a probiotic source though. Thanks again for your thoughts and information! This site is the BEST!!!

tomoko,

I happen to agree with you, but you and I are in the minority here. The majority of those on this board LOVE their soy and wouldn't give it up for the world. I can't touch it because of thyroid disease.

Here is an OLD thread I started some 6 months ago. As you can see it's long and got many comments.

That's really interesting, Kandee. I had no idea. Live and learn as they say.

Hi Kandee,

Thank you sooo much for the link to the posts/discussions from a few months ago. It is a very good read - very informative. I can tell that you have done a lot of research on this.

I think as more and more people understand the pros and cons of use of soy, we can all make better choices for ourselves.

Knowledge is Power!

Thanks again,

Tomo
