THANK U SOOOO MUCH FOR CARING!!! i havnt been on lately becuz im home now and my computer at school was much faster. i have begun eating normally again and am almost up to 3 meals a day ( i never eat breakfast). i have been going to bed no later than like 1 am every night so im getting a lot of sleep which is helping.
i have been fluctuating between 87-93 pounds so im definately gaining some weight back. im just taking it slow. yesterday i ate so much and wasnt used to it so i felt kinda awkward but im learning how much i can fit in my stomach again!!
im going to a therapist tomorrow for the first time ever!! my mom thinks it will help me to relax and maybe not be so stressed out so my stomach wont hurt as much. we'll see!!
THANKS AGAIN!!!

I hope you feel better, I am actually starting graduate school in psychology and I'm a firm believer in psychologists and therapists. Talking about something can almost always help!! Good luck!

Glad you doing better AllieGator!
Eat lots of little snacks instead of 3 bigger meals and it'll go down better. Good luck with the therapist - that should definitely help. Have you considered the hypno program?

I'm so, so glad to hear you're doing better, and now able to eat..........let's get you over a 100 lbs., Ok? Linz had a great idea, just graze all day long. It's easier on the system than eating big meals. A therapist is a great idea. In this stressful world most of us could use one!!! The hypno tapes might be something to consider too.
I'm delighted that Tara remembered to ask how you were. She's great!!! Some of us are a little memory challenged!!! ...(still that's no excuse) ......
You keep up the good work, ok? And keep us posted.......we LOVE to hear good news!!!

Allie, it is so good to hear you are able to eat again. I have been worried about you also.
Good for your mom, she is taking care of you, the therapist is a great idea. I've found great help there too.
Keep it up honey, it sounds like your appetite is growing.

Good news Pretty Lady!
Up to 93 pounds? You're on your way. That's excellent. And I think you'll be amazed at what the therapist can do for you.
Keep up the good work.

Allie, I'm so glad to hear from you! It sounds like things are definitely looking up for you... yay! I lost a bunch of weight because of my IBS too (although not nearly as much as you!) and I remember what a slow process it was gaining some of it back, but it sounds like you're definitely on the right track. I'm so happy for you. Just keep on truckin' and you'll get there eventually!
Good luck at the therapist. Let us know how that goes. Take care Allie!

Hi Allie,
To go see a therapist is a wonderful idea!!!! I had the same problem as you... And a therapy changed my life!!! I learned how to manage my stress, to be able to deal with painful events in my life,... I saw a major change with the ibs pain! I started my therapy 3 1/2 years ago and I'm still going 2-3 times per month.
I also gained weight since less stress = less pain. When I started to have IBS, I slowly lost about 25 pounds (from 113 to 90 lbs). With the therapy, I reached 107 since I was able to eat more. I also suggest that you eat more often. I eat every 3 hours (hungry or not: even if it's just something small) to be sure not to lose weight.
I had to deal with painful events in my life related to infertility last year. With the hormones treatment I reached 114lbs wow!! When I stopped everything because it makes me sicker (7 months later), the pain came back because of the stress (having to deal with the emotions that I was not pregnant) and the hormones side effects. I slowly lost weight again. I'm now at 97lbs... AND I CONTINUE the therapy. I didn't lose weight in 5 months! that's good!! I know that I would have lose more if I didn't continue the therapy!
All that is to say that you'll be able to gain weight!!!! you need to be confident!!! maybe things going to happens during this process BUT DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, you need to continue and it will be easier!!! Just give you some time!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
