Hi all! I am having my period for the time in forever and my craps are horrible. I suffer from endometriosis and had surgery recently. I am experiencing bad IBS symptoms and D. (Usually I am C.) I am switching in a month from the pill to the Ortho-Evra patch. Maybe it will help, who knows. What else can I do? Any thoughts? Leah

Tylenol and heating pad! I'm IBS C also but often get D when I get my period. Try some hot pepermint tea, take a couple tylenol and curl up with the heating pad! Feel better soon!

diarrhea is something that is very common among most women around their time of the month. I have friends that have iron stomachs but still get diarrhea without fail around that time. I don't know what it is, but its very common.

Ashley, it's all the hormones that our bodies release to start the uterine contractions that give you your period. They set your intestines cramping as well.

Thanks for all the help. So, it's those rotten hormones turning everything upside down! Arg! I am feeling a bit better now as the week is ending. Thanks again. Leah

I think it is the progesterone that is causing the diarrhea.
