Lots of water, tea, some exercise, and a little acacia.

Have you had any kind of a bowel movement since the enema? The first couple movements should be white, that's the last of the barium coming out. If this hasn't happened for you yet, and you say you have been constipated ever since, GO TO YOUR DOCTOR!! If you haven't cleared out the barium, that means it has dried up in your bowel and turned literally to cement! You MUST get that cleared out. Otherwise, if the barium has cleared out, the suggestion of lots of water and exercise and fennel tea is good advice. Best of luck!

I had mine a couple days ago and haven't seen any white yet I don't really have any advice since I'm feeling the same symptoms as you...just letting you know you're not alone in your misery!

When I had the Barium enema , I remember the tech telling me to have a bit of Milk of Magnesium, to help get rid of the barium. If you haven't passed any yet I would definitely call the Dr. Sue

I'm very concerned that neither of you seem to have cleared out the barium yet. Bear in mind I'm the tech on the other end of this test, the one telling you to drink lots of water to clear it out. I have also seen patients into the ER several days after a barium test, painfully constipated with the barium cemented in their bowel. I'm not saying this to frighten anyone, just to stress the importance of clearing your bowels out after the exam, and don't be afraid to go back to the doc if things aren't moving after a couple of days. Don't let it get too out of hand, please!
