Hi! I just found out on Friday that I'm 5 weeks pregnant! Its been a long road....2 years AND in-vitro! Here's my question. Is fennel tea safe to drink? I just read online that its not because it contains a lot of Vitamin A, which can be bad for the baby.

YEAH! You must be so excited!!!! I hope to be pregnant soon! I recently had a miscarriage at 5.5 weeks but am fine now. I should be ovulating this weekend so send me some pregnant vibes!!
Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question!

Hi there and congratulations! Hope you are feeling good. I would say the fennel question would be a good one for the doctor just to be on the safe side.

I read your post back in January where you were going to stop taking the Miralax and were looking for a safer alternative. Have you tried Lactulose? That's what I'm on instead of Miralax. Its all sugars instead of chemicals. My ob/gyn says its safe.

Nope, haven't heard of it. Is it working for you?? My gasto guy said Miralax was ok during pregnancy because it does not cross the placenta barrier. He told me he even gave it to his wife, you is pregnant, on occasion! I have cut back to 3/4 dose once a day and was planning to use it through out the pregnancy. Did your OBGYN tell you to stop it??

Its wokring for me! Its like my miracle cure! My gastro wanted to prescribe Miralax for me, but when I told him I was concerned because of trying to get pregnant and it was a Class C drug, he then prescribed the Lactulose, because its basically just sugars that draw water into the intestines. I take two Tbsp. at night. My ob/gyn said it was fine to take! I couldn't live without it!

You must be so happy!!!!
I really hope your pregnancy will go really well! My gastro dr told me that sometimes, when women with ibs become pregnant, they start feeling a lot better because of the changes in the hormones...
Keep us posted!! Take care!! Bye bye!!
