I'm tired of feeling twisted when I'm at work. I always feel like I will have to run to the bathroom and I cannot go anytime I want to cause I have students with me almost all the time. Plus, since almost two weeks, I don't know why because I haven't made any change in my eating or med habits, I need to go twice before I leave to go to work, which means I have to wake up very early (cause each time takes time!)!!!!! Any clues???!

Chantale, I wish I could help you. I'm looking for a teaching job right now, so I'm nervous about that whole being with students and not being able to run to the bathroom thing! Do you take soluble fiber before bed at night? Sometimes that can help stabalize you and get things ready ahead of time for the next morning. I also have my BMs in the morning, so I know what you mean about having to leave time for that. I can't think of any other advice for you. I hope you get things settled down!

Chantale, I understand your frustration. I think we ALL understand! Having this IBS crap is horrible. But we have to work around it somehow.

Get yourself some Equalactin. You just chew it up like Tums, so it's very portable. It truly will settle your tummy down.

As for the morning poops, GO FOR IT! It's a good thing. Wouldn't it be awful to be a C and not be able to go at all?! I always have my poops in the morning -- usually 2, sometimes 3 (but used to be 5!). I just accepted the fact that I'd have to get up a little earlier, so I'd just go to bed a little earlier. I'm glad I can go; I'm always grateful for a good healthy poop. What a relief! And to have it twice? A Godsend!

Rite Aid and WalMart Pharmacy carry Equalactin. You can also get it online. It works!

Now lets see a smile on that cute face of yours.

THanks! Your advice help me.

Bevrs, I will try to see if we can buy Equalactin here in Canada. I wonder if it's not the same as Prodiem (I think that's what they call it, here)

I do take fiber supplements (Acacia), but not right before bed. I take one tablespoon before breakfast and another one before dinner. I will try maybe taking it before going to bed... Would I stop taking it before breakfast or before dinner, then?
Kree, I know it must be scary to be looking for teaching jobs. I understand you!! In August, when I started going back to the school where I teach (special ed, like you, I think?)I went through the same thing. It's not actually that bad. Most days are okay... Even if I have pain, as long as I don't get D at school, it's fine. And if I do, I leave and that's it (they don't need anyone to substitute for me as my students go back to their regular groups when I'm not there).

Once again, thank you both so much for your support!!!!

No, Equalactin isn't the same as Prodiem. It's the same as Fibercon and Citrucel capsules, but it works better. Really, you'll be amazed at the stuff! You can get it online: Equalactin

Yes, if you take the acacia before bed, then you don't want to take it before dinner as well. You want to maintain the same dosage, unless you intend to start increasing it, and then just do it really slowly.

Thx Bevrs,

I went to the Equalactin web site and it says it countains 625 mg of Calcium polycarbophil . On the Prodiem web site, they also say that it countains 625 mg of Calcium polycarbophil. Is there another difference between them? I think it's cheaper, though.... I know we can buy Prodiem here, but I don't think I could get Equalactin unless I ordered it from their web site...

Do you only take them when you don't feel good or are they your fiber supplements?

Anyways, I will probably give it a try! thx!!
Sorry for my english, it's been quite a rough day and I even have trouble thinking in French right now!! ahhahahh!!

Salut (Hi!) Chantale!!!!

I'm going to write to you in english (so that everyone can understand) even if I make mistakes too... I also had a long day...

I'm sorry that you don't feel better (since we talked last week)...

To answer your question, Equalactin = Prodiem (in capsules), and Prodiem (in powder) = citrucel (methylcellulose).

Therefore, both can be your fiber supplement.
I hoped it helped you... It is confusing sometimes since we don't have the same products here in Canada.
ByeBye
And take care! (fais attention à toi... on se rappelle)
Ciao!

You just have to trust me on this. Equalactin works BETTER than any other. Why not do a little test? Buy a small box of both and try them out. I'd be very interested in the results (although I have a pretty good idea what they'd be).

I don't think you want to take it as your everyday fiber supplement because it's too expensive. You have to take too much of it to equal the same amount of fiber you'd get in the Acacia powder; you'd be chewing up those tablets all day long! Yowza.

I only take it when I feel rumblings down there. If I anticipate something stressful coming on, a social event, or if I'm going out to eat at a restaurant. On my way there, I'll pop a tablet and chew it up in the car.

I've been in the car, driving, on my way somewhere, and suddenly felt, "uh-oh, here it comes...." then reached in my purse, popped an Equalactin, chewed it up, and within just a few minutes felt all better again. I LOVE this stuff!

Don't take my word for it -- check out everyone else's past posts. JenX, for instance, she loves it too! Several people have gotten relief from Equalactin.

GOFERIT!

Bev

...that they say you need to drink with the Equalactin (you know, to prevent the choking )?
