I will be so glad to get this over with. I'm so hungry...and tired...and tired of seeing the bathroom...and hungry-I know I already mentioned that-but I am soooo hungry right now.
Well, wish me luck!

I have one on Tuesday. So tomorrow will be my fun filled day. I have already warned the family about upcoming crabbiness!
I hope yours goes well. Will be thinking about you.

All I can say is, ENJOY THOSE GREAT DRUGS! Try to sneak some of 'em out. They're FAB!
I had the best colonoscopy EVER. Slept through the entire process, passed gas (you have to do that before you leave -- and they have to HEAR you -- or they won't let you out the door!), jumped out of bed, hugged all the nurses, kissed my GI (EW!), and floated out the door with hubby practically carrying me! It was MARVELOUS!
Sorry about today. It's really icky, ain't it? Trust me, though -- today is the worst part of all.
Good luck!

Bev, you are definitely my inspiration! LOL! Thank you for making me laugh. I will let everyone know how it goes.
Also, those pills (Visicom) do work quite well, but on an empty stomach-yuck! They are making me sick.

Well, I did it! Everyone was correct, it was nothing to be too concerned about. The test ruled out Crohn's and my doctor definitely thinks it is IBS.
The pills (Visicol) definitely seemed to be better than the drink that most people receive. I would recommend the pills. If anyone has to go through this, ask your doctor for a prescription for them.
I just want to thank all of you that helped me through this. I needed your words of encouragement.

Hi,
Whew, I know you are glad that's over! Happy it turned out OK and you have found the perfect message board for IBS. When you took the Visicol pill does that mean that you didn't have to drink that whole jug of horrible stuff? Is is a laxative?

Yes, the Visicol pills are a laxative. I didn't have to have the jug of gunk-but...you start taking the pills the night before at 6pm. You take 4 pills every 15 minutes until 7pm (which totals 20 pills). You can take them with 8oz. of water and then the last 4 pills you take w/gingerale. The next morning, you have to take the rest of the pills (8 more) at least 3 hours before your procedure. You again take 4 of them each in 15 minute increments. I hope this makes sense. I also hope it helps someone out. It definitely seemed easier than drinking the jug.
