I am eating safe food and not over eating...the only "new" thing that I have added to my diet is hummus. I don't have any symptoms other than an icky feeling in my stomach. Has anyone had the same experience with hummus?

Hummus is basically ground up chick peas, usually with a little lemon, it does come in different flavors like garlic or pepper. I eat hummus a lot without any problems. It is insoluble fiber but because it is so ground up most people would be ok with it. If you had it many times over a short period of time that my be too much for you. I'm like that with strawberries, mmmm, my favorite! I can have some strawberries over a biscuit or waffles just fine but if I eat them 2 or 3 days in a row, I'm in for trouble!

Yeah, if you're just adding hummus into your diet you might want to take it slowly. It does have a lot of fiber from the chickpeas and also a lot of fat from the tahini. I'd just start out with smaller amounts and hopefully that will help!

It must be that I am eating too much. I buy it at the grocery store and eat it with baked pita chips. I bet I am eating too much in one sitting. I hate it when that happens!
