Hello
I am fairly new here and have really learned a lot just poking around on the boards. My IBS has been in a vicious cycle lately so I am working on my diet.
I do have one question. I seem to be tired a lot when my stomach is rebelling. Is this pretty normal?
Thanks a lot Valerie

I definitely want to curl up and take a nap when I'm in pain and having problems.
I really have to make myself get up and go for a walk sometimes. I usually think I'll just walk a little bit and then once I get moving I find the energy to go further than I originally planned. I usually feel better if I do this... but I know it's hard sometimes.
Good Luck, Leigh

Welcome, Valerie. I'm always wiped out the day after an attack of D. When I was still working I'd have to call in sick. So I'd say, yeah, the answer to your question is it's pretty normal.
On the other hand there are some other things that cause fatigue that are actually treatable, so if it's interfering with your day to day activities, couldn't hurt to ask your doctor about it.
Again, welcome to the greatest place on earth!

Thank you so much for the responses. I have been trying to keep better track of what days I am the most tired and it looks like it does correlate with the running to the bathroom.
I love the picture of the sleeping puppy in the shoe. That is just amazing.
Thanks again Valerie
