I have read all of the good things that you guys have had to say about Equalactin, but I am concerned about it causing excess bloating and gas. I am mainly IBS-C but occasionally IBS-A. I have a huge problem with bloating and gas and just don't want to take anything that is going to make it worse. Do I need to worry about that with Equalactin?

I'm a D (never had C). I take Equalactin only as needed, so many days I go without. And I have gas ALL the time! Actually, come to think of it, it seems to me that the gas was a lot BETTER on those days when I took it.

Hmmmmm..... me thinks perhaps I may just have to start taking it more often....

Bloating and gas are my worst enemies..aaaaaaargh! Equalactin has given me bloat and gas free days since I started using it..nothing like waking up this morning, getting dressed and not seeing a tummy which imitates a pregnant woman..

Good Luck,

Olga

Once you do, you will start to have days where you actually feel "normal" I am so happy I discovered this wonderful tablet..

Denise,
it is not the equalactin doing it. Ive posted a few threads and told some how BAD I suffered with ONLY gas and bloating other things worked fine for me. I was on dicetel and prevacid they did nothing for me. Now I am on Maxaran and Pantaloc and doing GOOD !!!!!!!!! keep trying with the meds getting the right combo takes work. hang in there.

Will you please share with me how you take it? Daily? How many? Before or after a meal? I know I need to experiment and see what works for me, but I would still like to know what you do. I also just started peppermint caps and acacia. They seem to be working pretty good, but I'm still trying to figure what is the best combination for me. I just purchase the equalactin, but haven't tried it yet...not sure how or when to work it in.

Thanks so much,
Denise

I just carry some Equalactin with me in my purse in case I need it before or in-between a meal when I'm away from home. I think this is what a lot of people do because Equalactin is kind of expensive to be taking all the time. I take Citrucel daily because I have found that works for me. A lot of people here on the boards take Acacia, so you could do a search for that and see what people have to say. Plus, Heather has written some posts/information on Acacia: Acacia dosages
