Yeah! You got the right idea! Take the Benefiber regularly, then the Equalactin "as needed." Isn't it amazing how well it works?! Just the other day, hubby and I were driving down to the new property, and something happened in my subconscious. All the old anxiety came rushing back, for some stupid reason, and I had to stop at Safeway for a bathroom pitstop. I had to GO! By the time I got to the toilet, false alarm. Yet I just knew my gut wouldn't let me make the trip down to the new property. I popped an Equalactin, left the store, got behind the wheel, and Bingo, I was just fine. Cramps went away, and I felt great. Made the trip down there, had a terrific time, and never thought about the cramps again.

Yeah, Equalactin ROCKS!

Hi,

What is Equalactin? Does it only help D or does it help cramping , too. Is it fiber?

Thanks
Barbie

Thank you Bevrs for all your wonderul advice..question for you: Should I take the equalactin before I feel cramps or simply when the "attack" hits? When I am stressed at work (everyday) I notice more discomfort, gas and bloating..thank God, I will be retiring in December..and I feel all these attacks will end then..have noticed during the weekends, I rarely feel ill..there is a definite connection between work stress and my IBS attacks..

Have a safe night,

Olgis

Hi Barbie! Equalactin is a nutritional supplement which is available over-the-counter at drugstore. I don't recall the ingredients, but I think it may be related to Calcium Carbonate. It's definitely not a fiber. What it does is restore the water balance in your colon. i.e. if you have D, it hardens you up, and if you have C, it will increase the water to make things easier to pass. Follow directions on the box. As far as I know, it is safe to take on a daily babsis. Another one that has always worked well for me to resolve bad attacks is called Bowel Support. It is also OTC, and sold only at the GNC health food stores. Again, I don't take it on a daily basis-only as needed for attacks. Hope this has been some help! Amy

Hiya,
So after reading all the great reviews of this stuff, I have decided I have to have it.. but then also heard that I cannot get it while stuck in England (no offence England people). So my question is, can I get it in Canada? If so, I will ask someone to get it for me, and send it to me here... If not, any other suggestions? I would like to have some..

What part of Canada? I am just across the border from Ontario. I would be happy to look in stores over there, or send you some if neccessary. I know U.S. Wal-mart carries it, and can certainly check Canadian Wal-mart.

Hiya,
Normally I live in Vancouver, so I could get someone to check the WalMart there. I am living in London, England right now so would have to get somebody at home to send it to me, if it is available. I don't want to ask you to send it to me as shipping stuff to England can be really expensive, so I'll ask mommy to get it.
If you happen to be over there and notice any lying around, let me know, though!! Thanks!
