Has anyone found that lying on your stomach helps with the bloating that you have. I have discovered that a heating pad and lying on my stomach really help.

My heating pad is my best friend! But I can NOT lay on my tummy, the pressure is too much. Have you tried those Therma Care heat packs? They make them for menstrual cramps, they are really great to use when you have to leave the house! They tuck into your panties and wear a longer baggy shirt and no one can tell!

My mother mentioned once that lying on her tummy helps her when she has gas pains. (She has IBS too but she won't admit it!)

its odd cuz i've always thought my pain was reflux (and it still might be some of it) and with gerd/reflux they tell you not to lie down at all. So i was trying sit up. Then i remembered what they tell you when you're pregnant and are having any pains or early contractions - lay on your left side. They also told me after my cesarean with my second daughter to lay on my left side when i was having excrutiating after surgery gas pains.
so... all that story was to say that you can try laying on your left side with the heating pad if laying on your tummy is too much pressure - works for me

Hi! I always lie on my tummy on the heating pad. If i lie on my back i start to get stomach cramps. It's awful But on my tummy...yeah...that generates natural heat and then when you have the heating pad, ahhhhhhhhhhh nice. I did that naturally before I even found Heather's book or knew I had IBS..just like how I avoided cold foods and dairy and raw stuff
