just kidding, they think I am not eating right, so they are tempting me with the fast foods I like.
today they brought me a big mac, and I could not resist eating it.
about 1 hour before they came home, I ate some soluble fiber, then ate the burger and then ate a ton of rice after.
I can't believe they believe fast food is "heathier" than rice and bananas and oatmeal etc etc.
I am cutting down on the fast food. I actually turned down pizza, and white castle hamburgers for dinner the other day. I felt good about it.
but yesterday they get me with the chinese food, and today mcdonalds.
If they had gone to any other fast food place I could have easily turned down the burgers, but big macs really are a weak spot.
how do you resist the temptations for fast food???

When you skip out on your favorite fast foods, do you feel deprived of the actual food, or just left out of the group? My hunch is that you maybe feel ostracized. It is easy to replace with safer foods though. At almost all the fast food places now, you can get a grilled chicken sandwich on a roll -- if veggies are a problem for you ask them for no onions, lettuce, tomato or pickle. Just the chicken and the bun. Then I usually ask for a packet of fat free italian dressing, and I put that on the chicken. I get a baked potato on the side, with a squirt of ketchup -- no sour cream or butter. Get an iced tea (not diet), and you have your meal! If you can eat dairy, go for the fruit and yogurt parfait at McDonald's for dessert. I personally can't eat any dairy, so I usually just sit there and think of all the pain and calories I'm avoiding by abstaining. Once in a while, if you are really stable, have ONE BITE of your friend's Big Mac, and one or two french fries. Then go wash your hands and pop a mint in your mouth and tell yourself that's all you get. Sounds like no fun, I know, but it's better than getting sick in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant! I never get sick right after I eat. it's usually between 12AM and 5 AM.
once in a blue moon it will be like 6pm, depending on what I ate for lunch.

if your symptoms are so troublesome and you've lost so much weight, than i questions the diagnosis "mild..."
has no one sent you for a colonoscopy? that's really needed to rule out other things that could cause problems.
you should also tell your doctor you want to be tested for celiac sprue.
these are very important steps to take. ruling out other problems is the only way to diagnose IBS. do you have a choice as to which doctor you see? i would ask for a referral to a GI doctor/gastroenterologist who can examine you and do the rule-out tests.

I have lost no weight. it's not severe. last week was worse probably due to eating to fattening foods.
when I eat junk, then I get sick.

i thought your family was trying to force you to eat because they wanted you to stop losing weight. i must be confused.
so they just are giving you bad foods to tempt you just for the heck of it!? MEANIES. that's terrible.
be strong!
