It's dairy-free, but it's also partially hydrogenated, so a lot of people use soy margarines because they're non-hydrogenated and overall they're better for your heart, etc. I just haven't gotten around to getting any yet. Trace amounts of dairy are fine! A few people here use it. Heather has said its ok to use! I use it on my baked potatoes, toast, muffins! No hydrogenized oils and completely dairy free. AND it tastes great! It's dairy free, and in the kosher section, I don't know if it would be in the regular butter section in other stores.
