I am craving some blueberry muffins. Does anyone know of any muffins that are "safe" that can be bought in a grocery store? I looked for some this morning - came close but had whey in them - but that was all. They were low fat & had egg whites.

Thanks,
~Lynn

I wouldn't go near ANY store-bought muffins. I have no doubt that they're full of dairy and fat (far more than our 25% limit).

Why not make your own? Double the recipe and freeze them. Then you always have them on hand to throw in your purse when you're in a hurry and on the way out the door.

Hi there, I've bought the Krusteaz blueberry muffin mix. Its fat free and has no triggers. It does have egg whites, but those are safe! I think these are wonderful!!! I hope you can find them! Here is a link to a past post on them!!! muffin post

I find that avoiding wheat flour in foods has helped a bit. Do the muffins in that recipe have wheat products? I bought a muffin mix at the Vitamin store that is rice based and has no wheat in it. I haven't tried it yet, though. Has anyone else gone this route?

If you find a recipe that looks good except for the milk, try using half orange juice and half ginger ale in the recipe. YUM. Or half soy yogurt and half juice (pineapple or pear juice would be good too). I got some pear juice (R.W.Knudsen) today and it is sooooooooooooooo yummy. Knudsen orchards is just east of me and I love their stuff, especially the pear and black cherry!!!!
