Woke up this morning hungry and ate my usual oatmeal. Showered and got ready for work and felt fine. Wouldn't you know 5 mins. before I had to leave for work I started get that feeling in my tummy and I knew I couldn't leave for work until I knew for sure I would make it. I ended up hitting the bathroom with D and stomach cramps and then I remembered what Bev said about Equalactin so I chewed one and drank some water. After a few mins. I started feeling better and off to work I went and didn't have any more problems the rest of the day.
I have had that stuff around the house for quite some time and never really used it. Thanks Bev for raving about Equalactin and how great it works.

I've seen Bev talk about Equalactin but I'm not sure what it is. Is it like Immodium? Only for IBS-D? Because I have both IBS-D & IBS-C so I don't like to take things like Immodium because it'll just make my IBS-C worse.

No, it's not like Immodium. It's a soluble fiber supplement, just like Fibercon tablets or Citrucel tablets, although you chew it instead. It just works better, for some reason, and really calms down the tummy.
Do you take a soluble fiber supplement? What kind? How much? Chewing an Equalactin tablet when you feel cramps coming on is really no more than taking a Fibercon capsule, except it calms down the tummy.

can you buy this stuff in the store? i've never heard of this... but i am ALL TOO FAMILIAR with the "i have to go to work and now i have to go" problems...

I bought mine in Wal-Mart over by the pharmacy. You can probably get it in most drug stores.

I had a hard time finding it. Finally, I asked my pharmacist to order it for me. I don't know why the drug stores don't stock it, but they don't.
