I do have one question,
however---currently, I'm on xanax (slow release taken at night) for

Nice to have another musician on board! Try drinking lots of water throughout the day. Talk to other singers, often they have their own concoctions for keeping their throat moist. I have a friend that swears by honey and lemon together.

Make sure you drink LOADS of water with the soluble fibre supplements. And if you've got D, get rehydration sachets from the chemist. Honey and lemon is great for the throat - drink putting some in a herbal tea.
