Have any of you tried sorbet? I love ice cream but can't eat it and I cannot get soy ice cream. I bought Edy's Raspberry sorbet the other day but haven't tried it yet. Says it has no fat. Just wondering if this will be safe to eat.

... it can be safe. Check the ingredients on the box and make sure it does not list dairy in any form. That is what will cuase you the most problem. Some sorbets have it and some don't.

Also, check for high fructose corn syrup, this affects some people and not as much with others. You just have to kind of do some trials and see how ya feel.

Hope that helps. If you feel better listing all the ingredients for us to look over, feel free. Sometimes that helps even more!

By the way, what flavor did you get???

I didn't even think to look at the ingredients, just saw Sorbet with no fat. I got raspberry because it was the only flavor they had.

Here are the ingredients (they are written so small I think I need a magnify glass which I don't have so I will have to hold it farther away)

Water, Respberry puree and juice from concentrate, corn syrup, sugar, kiwi juice from concentrate, high frustose corn syrup, natural flavor, pectin

I'll try a little bit and see how my stomach feels.

Should be fine-although some people are sensative to high fructose syrup so if you do have a problem I would blame that!

I used to eat it all the time last summer. It was fine on my tummy. Raspberry is great! I crunched in a couple of graham crackers into it and it was yummy!

I bought the peach one yesterday. I had some last night and didn't have any problems but don't go based on me. I try to avoid high frutose corn syrup but when I have had it I didn't have a problem. Plus, being pregnant I can tolerate things a little better.
