Green beans seem to be fairly safe for most of us. I would just recommend cooking them until they're very tender and making sure you eat them after your soluble fiber. Chewing them very thoroughly also helps. I just got brave enough to start eating these again recently and I've been cooking them in the microwave with a little water and then adding a tiny bit of soy margarine.

As for corn, be VERY careful with it! Kernal corn is one of the toughest things to digest. I've given it up completely. I would recommend starting with creamed corn instead, or pureeing the corn into a soup.

Good luck!

I do just fine with green beans and carrotts out of the cans. I can't really do corn, if theres a little in soup I might be ok but I just don't digest it! I would start with one seving every other day to see how you do. Even some of my "safe" foods, if I eat them two days in a row they will bother me. Like Strawberries, I just love'm and I'm ok if I have them once or twice a week but anymore than that and they bother me. It's best to keep a food journal until you figure out what you can handle!

Gee, you picked two of the toughest veggies to digest. If you HAVE to have those two particular veggies, I'd throw them in soup stock and cook them to death.

How about something a little easier on your tummy, like sweet potatoes -- or what about a nice baked potato? You want green? Okay, how about some peas; you could add them to boiled rice or throw them in your salad (don't forget the soluble fiber first!). Or how about zucchini? You could just saute them in a LITTLE soy butter.

I'd kill for my fave Chinese cabbage salad, but I just don't dare; cabbage is SOOOO tough on the tummy! And I wouldn't dare go near beans or corn.

Thanks you guys for your advice. I havent started to eat veggies yet as I was kinda scared to see how they would react to my tummy. I only like green beans for greens. I dont like sweet potatoes either, just reg. I was just trying to figure out how to eat them and I will now stay away from corn, which I loved at one time.
