I don't think I did! Monday I went back to the GI to get the biopsy results from the colon polyps and inflamed tummy lining.
It was very, shall I say, humbling for me to hear that "one of the polyps was completely benign but..." (BUT??!! I'm thinking??) "...the other was what we call precancerous. It has been completely removed but it is very good you came in and we did this now". Wow. Thanks for the problems, Lord! I get to get the lovely procedure done every 3 years, but I'll take that over the alternative.
On the tummy, there was no H. pylori bacteria so he is thinking my stomach is just "slow" just like the rest of my tract, and because it does not empty efficiently it produces too much acid thus irritating the lining and causing pain. He says it's probably been a chronic condition but the stress in my life over the last year just exascerbated it, not caused it. So he's got me on reglan to take a half hour before eating to try and help. I'm still leery of medicines but trying this to see if it helps or not. So far I do think it is helping, do not have the pain, bloating, and indigestion I was having after eating.
So things are looking up and I'm feeling pretty thankful these days! Still looks like we're basically dealing with IBS in the form of a "sluggish" system so the things I'm learning here are still very valid.
Thanks for the support through all this!

Michelle,
Thanks for updating us! I'm sorry to hear that a polyp was precancerous--but I'm SO GLAD they removed it! Thank G-d!!! I'm SO GLAD to hear that you're feeling better these days--please keep us updated as to how the med is working out for you.
I hope that you'll stay on the IBS board. You're comments, questions, and advice are terrific and I value what you have to say!
Feel good and take care of yourself--and be proud for taking care of yourself!!! You're strong, and caring, and by taking care of you you are also taking care of that wonderful family of yours!!!
*hugs*

Michelle, I'm so glad that they've sorted you out - it's so much better to know that they've removed the polyp, and try not to worry for the future, I'm sure they'll keep a good eye on you. Let's hope your tummy settles down now!!!

Glad you posted your results Michelle - I was thinking about you a couple of days ago. Sorry to hear about the polyp, but thankful the precancerous was caught in time. There was a reason for all the pain you were dealing with recently with your stomach. By the way your daughter is very cute! My husband and I really prayed our third child would be a girl, but we got our third son instead. My husband and I joke around how God was having a sense of humor that day - not only did He give us a boy, but he was a suprise baby!
