I know. I have to throw out the Rice krispies, Twizzlers, and I think the graham crackers have partially hydro. oil as well.
All cookies, and even your fat free crackers have it. I don't know how there saying there FF when they have this stuff in there. It's so bad for you even if you don't have IBS, its just bad for you.
I know I'm going to start making my own snacks. Even cookies. Fat Free.

Amitchell,
I don't know what kind of Rice Krispy Treats you had, Amitchell, but Heather's recipe is totally safe, not at all fatty; it has very little oil in it: Heather's Cocoa Rice Krispy Treats
It could be the turkey (if it was dark meat); dark meat is a trigger. I doubt it would be the egg if you used only the whites. What kind of bread was it? If it was whole wheat, a lot of people here -- in fact, most -- can't tolerate whole wheat.
Really, you've been on the program only a week, not very long. You need to give it more time. Are you taking any soluble fiber supplement? What kind? How much? Are you drinking all your water? The supplement needs water in order for it to work right; it's imperative.
Have you tried Heather's peppermint caps? She says they work better as an anti-spasmodic than my prescription meds (that she used to take as well). If you can tolerate the peppermint without getting indigestion, I'd suggest ordering some from Heather for those times when you're cramped up like this.
Try soaking in a hot bath for awhile, then go back to bed with a heating pad on your tummy. Take a cup of peppermint tea with you and a trashy novel. For me, the best medicine in times like this was to simply "sleep it off."
Get better!
Bev

Pumpkin is a trigger for me too (and I LOVE pumpkin pie). Also winter squash aka acorn squash, which is in the same family.

Thanks Bev! I did use Heather's recipe for RKT. The turkey was also white meat and the bread was white! I have been very strict on myself and have felt great from the first day! I am taking fiber supplements and I only drink water. I did read someone else's post about stress and being tired and that very well could be my problem! I am in college and work too and I pretty stressed at the moment. Thanks for all your suggestions! I just need to hang in there. I know it has only been a week, but I discourage easily...which leads to more stress! I need to learn how to chill out!
Anyways thanks for the support! Amanda

Hi everyone! Thank you soooo much for your support and ideas! It is so great to know I can come here and feel better just by reading your posts! I am feeling better now, I had to break down and take immodium...I haven't in so long! But as long as I am better! I am definitely going to try to calm down and take it easy!
The bad thing....I can't stand tea of any kind! Isn't that horrible? I have been living off water and I am dying to drink something with flavor, but I don't know what. I know most of you keep the teas as a staple...any suggestions?
Thanks again to everyone!
Amanda

amitchell83- I have the same problem because I hate tea as well. I had already just bought a big thing of peppermint tea, and I only have used about 3 tea bags. I just can't stand it anymore so I quit. All I drink is water. I don't really miss other drinks like soda and juice (which is high in calories). Maybe you could flavor your water with something??
