Dear Heather,

Although you indicate to avoid dairy products in your book, due to fat and, glen.downey@jus.gov.on.ca the chemical characteristics of dairy on the gut, do you include yogurt?

There is fat free yougurt available now and a gentlemen on TV recently indicated that he was diagnosed with IBS and began eating no fat yogurt regularly and his symptoms disappeared.

Regards,

Glen

Hi Glen - I know I'm not Heather, but...

You should avoid dairy because the milk proteins (lactose, casein, whey) are big triggers for IBS. These proteins are still in dairy yogurt. There is soy yogurt available.

And welcome to the boards.
