Which is it?

I thought I wasn't constipated anymore because I "go" each morning now but I'm still horribly bloated after each BM. Does this mean I am actually still constipated? Or is the bloating something that can be there all the time even if you are not constipated. In the past after a BM my tummy used to feel flat and empty and sort of hungry. now it still feels huge, bloated, gurgly and definately not hungry!

I have heard others mention incomplete evacuation. is this what this is? And if so how do I help the situation?

Hi,

I am also having a real problem with bloating, C and not ever feeling full cleared at the moment...got over it for a while, but it seems to be back with a vengence (too much stress I think at the moment).

I also have BM's everyday, but discovered a while ago - thanks to a fairly hot chili (don't think I need to say more)- that food takes about 3 days to pass through my system. The gastroenterologist said that that is not a bad thing, some people just take longer than others to pass food. But I was thinking that could be causing my problems, makes sense if you think about carrying all that food around with you. When I get bad D that stops and I feel ecompletely empty (and really hungry)...this doesn't help you and it makes me feel pretty off.

But I have also noticed that loads of exercise (with me it seems to require lots and lots of walking, or some jogging - about 4km a day) speeds up my metabolism big time. I then have about 2 BM's a day (gets up to three) and this seems to solves my problem...may help with you too???

I have identified what helps, I just have to pick myself up out of this ditch and do it. Hope this helps at all...good luck with IDing the cause, keep me posted.

Emma
